What is Wine Tourism ?
Eno or Wine tourism is organizing tours related to assessment, tasting and buying wine. This is a type of tourism strongly developed in many regions of the world , expressed either as a trip to a wine destination like Napa Valley or rent a villa in order to soak and explore the wines of the region such as southern France. Wine tourism is a great way to meet people, culture, heritage and customs of the region. Some of the most famous wine regions in the world are producers of wine for centuries, even millenniums and consumption, and trade of wine are deeply rooted in the local culture. Wine tourism can be just as attractive to the traditional tourist, even allowing for the rediscovery of unknown and exotic places. Visits to wineries provide the tourist with possibility of contact with local winegrowers and wine experts. Their point of view is different on a local level and life in general is deliberately different from other local people usually met during the trip. For connoisseur , wine tourism is a great way to get to know better terroir, how the specificity of the region, soil and climate in which the grapes are grown, affect the flavor of the wine. Wine tasting in the pro shop or home comfort provides a hint of terroir. But spending a few days in this region , communicating with winemakers and winegrowers, tasting their wines under the comment of oenlogist, tasting the local cuisine (which must be tailored to perfection with the wine consumed) will give an exclusive context for the wine and a deep insight into why, how and what love is implemented in the making. Bulgaria is becoming more popular and desirable wine destination. Medals from world wine competitions give the Bulgarian wine new look of a product competitive with those of the most famous wine regions. With its rich wine history, best wines and magnificent nature, Bulgaria became an attractive place for wine lovers , even professionals worldwide. Unfortunately Bulgarian tourists still ignore these destinations, trusting sales team cellars, to help in the choice of wine. Of course its jurisdiction is not to be underestimated, but the passion, the attitude to wine and aim of the oenologist to help consumers rediscover the virtues of wine, you can feel only in cellars, even among the tanks and the barrels. There you will find that even you do not need adequate food, good lighting or restaurant to enjoy and appreciate the wine. In our wonderful country has several wine regions with attractive wineries worth visiting.
